从民元创始，中迁陕南，最后落户津门，“平工”纺织一脉历尽曲折，存续之功，端赖心怀家国之思，倾心于教育，与之相伴始终的纺织高等教育先行者。前辈学人在国家民族危亡之际张扬大义，于教育事业锐身自任，高风亮节如光风霁月，优良传统薪火相续激励我们勇猛前行，继往开来，开创我校光辉灿烂之前程，为中华民族伟大复兴效力。

Difficulties and setbacks never destroyed the efforts of the textile department of the Polytechnic School of Peking University to educate talents from its founding in 1912, to its relocation in Xi’an, and to its renewal in Tianjin. Meanwhile, the predecessors never gave up higher education for textile industry. Moved and inspired by the bravery and selflessness of predecessors during those hard times, we will carry on the tradition to create a glorious future for our university and contribute to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
